Golden Thread Analytics was founded by senior data engineers who spent years building the attribution and analytics infrastructure for some of the largest companies in the United States — then decided to stop keeping it to themselves.

Where we came from

We've seen what real attribution looks like from the inside.

Between us, we've architected data pipelines for Fortune 500 companies across finance, retail, and technology. Server-side event capture. Custom data warehouses in BigQuery. Cross-channel attribution models that stitched together paid search, paid social, email, and organic into a single coherent picture of how customers found their way to a purchase — and what each touchpoint was actually worth.

And until recently, building them required a budget and a team most growing businesses simply don't have.

What changed

Modern tooling compressed the timeline. The expertise didn't get cheaper.

The stack that once required a 10-person data team and six months to build can now be delivered in weeks. BigQuery became accessible at any scale. dbt made data transformation maintainable. Server-side tracking became feasible without a dedicated engineering department. GA4, combined with the right event architecture, gives you visibility that would have cost seven figures to replicate five years ago.

The tools got dramatically better. What stayed expensive was the expertise to configure them correctly, interpret what they were telling you, and actually make decisions from the data.

What we noticed

Small businesses were making big decisions without the data to back them.

We kept meeting business owners spending $10,000 to $50,000 a month on paid advertising — and making those decisions based on last-click attribution from Google Analytics, or gut feel.
